the poetry practice - writing your way to hope and healing
JOURNEY OF THE JOURNAL: PATHWAY TO SELF

"All along I thought I was keeping a journal,
but it was keeping me"
     —Anonymous

Workshop description

Whether you are a long-time journal keeper, or a beginner, this workshop will open you up to new, creative avenues of journal writing. A journal can be so much more than writing about the day's events. Have you ever thought of dialoging with your muse, your body, your feelings? What about writing a letter you have no intention of sending? A poem? A conversation you would like to have? We will utilize some methods and techniques from renowned journal workshop leaders and writers, Kathleen Adams and Ira Progroff. Throughout this workshop, you will see how journal writing can help you heal, spark your imagination, and provide you with a life-long outlet for true comfort.
